Position Title : Monitoring & Evaluation Officer( M&E)
Reports to : Team leader, Hariyo Ban Program
I. Major Function
The M & E Officer is responsible to implement of monitoring framework and activities of Hariyo Ban project in close coordination with the M&E Unit . S/he will be primarily responsible for maintaining and updating the database system and documents in close coordination with the program units and field office, as required. S/he needs to travel frequently in both CHAL and TAL to assist and follow up to district staff in operating database system and reporting as per requirement .
II. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reporting and Documentation
Responsible for collecting quarterly and half yearly progress reports from offices and necessary activity level data from field. S/he assists in periodic reporting and the associated monitoring framework from all units.
Assists in participatory monitoring system at the community level and project level. Designs, amends the monitoring framework as needed, including checklists, matrixes and formats. S/he carries out regular field monitoring.
3. Compliance and Knowledge Management
Circulates the updated database to wider audiences. Analyze the datasets to measure the progress at multiplelevels, and their contribution to achieving Hariyo Ban’s goal and objectives.
4. Develop and review the success indicators of Hariyo Ban project as and when required
Provide necessary data and their analysis to HBP monitoring unit and program team in prescribed format. Update database in ‘connect’ with necessary information and upload documents in a timely manner.
5. Document Management System (DMS)
Serves as the document management within Hariyo Ban for all program units. Maintain special management on maps in coordination with M&E units and other technical team .
6. Capacity Building
Facilitate the training to workshops on monitoring and the associated tools and methodologies. Supports in designing and conducting sessions on the concepts and practices of monitoring with partners
