Dr. Arjun Chapagain is working as a Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) Coordinator for “Securing and Deepening Community Forest Rights in Nepal through Local Government and Coordinated Local Actions” Project at the Federation of Community Forestry Users, Nepal (FECOFUN). He completed his PhD in Public and International Studies at the City University of Hong Kong in 2023. His research was on the identification, vernacularisation, and institutional border of Sowa Rigpa (publicly known as Tibetan Medicine) in Nepal Himalaya and the cross-border trade of medicinal plants. He holds a master’s degree in Botany from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has more than seven years of experience in Natural resources, green economy, Himalayan livelihood, Community Forestry Rights, Sustainable Forest Management, and Resources, trade and market assessment of Non-Timber Forest Products and Medicinal Plants.
