The Community Forest Data Portal training, which began on Kartik 12, 2082, has now been successfully completed across 48 local governments (municipalities and rural municipalities) spanning 25 districts in 7 provinces. The program concluded in Tulsipur with the formal handover of login access for the Community Forest Data Portal.
Jointly organized by FECOFUN Nepal, Green Foundation Nepal, and CIPRED, the training engaged IT Officers, Forest & Environment Committee Coordinators, and Community Forest leaders from Dang, Salyan, and Rolpa.
Addressing the event, the Chief Guest, Deputy Mayor Syani Chaudhary, emphasized that the digital portal will provide local governments with a trusted new model for managing forest data and improving decision-making processes. She reaffirmed the municipality’s commitment to continuously support technology-friendly initiatives.
Participants from Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City, Dangisharan, Shantinagar, Babai, Kapurkot, and Runtigadhi Rural Municipalities took part in the session. The training was led by Shandesh Chaudhary, Admin & Information Technology Coordinator at FECOFUN Nepal, with facilitation by Dipak Pariyar from Green Foundation Nepal.
